<p>模具挠度传感器用于测量模具分模线每周期的开模距离。间接式传感器安装在夹具板上，一个长为5/16英寸的脱模顶针在模具分模线位置伸入0.04英寸（但尚未进入模腔）。顶针通过弹簧将压力传输至专为测量挠度而调教的Lynx<sup>TM</sup>压力传感器。当模具被锁紧时，顶针受压埋入分模线，全部压力应用在传感器上 — 这被记录为“零度挠曲”。随着模具不断“打开”，注射压力会逐渐减小。注射压力每次递减，传感器则会记录为挠度的一次递增。传感器调校为假设最大挠度为.040英寸（1.016毫米）。</p>
